Clay: an ancient raw material with a tradition going back thousands of years.
HERE AS A RAW MATERIAL, UNBLEND AND READY FOR FURTHER PROCESSING WITH HUGE POTENTIAL OF USES.
As a binder, bulding clay has a wide range of possible applications. The clay is not standardized, so it can also contain small stones. Nevertheless, it is a building material with huge potential - and with an excellent ecological balance: This natural clay is mined in a regional gravel works and only sieved to obtain a uniform structure. Since it requires little primary energy and few processing steps, a large proportion of carbon dioxide is saved in its production in contrast to "modern" building materials.
This raw clay is suitable for the production of your own mixtures for top and bottom plaster, for timber struts, insulating and light clay, rammed earth or timber-fram compartments, for insulating fill or for the production of earth bricks. Building clay can also be used for soil improvement and renaturation: many insects, swallows and bees love this material. This clay has been used regionally for a long time in the renovation of half-timbered houses and in new construction. Since clay is a natural product, the material varies in quality. Regional clay builders still appreciate it. You can use it to implement the following applications: - Clay base plaster in layer thicknesses of up to 2 cm no problem, filling of wall heating; mixed with chopped reeds or chopped straw for greater layer thicknesses and a better bond - Clay top coat mixed with sand in layer thicknesses of 7 to 15 mm - Insulating lightweight clay mixed with chopped straw, wood chips, expanded clay or expanded glass - Masonry mortar in pure form or mixed with grit or sand, to to increase the strength - rammed earth floor by adding coarse and broken stones - rammed earth walls with some practice in dealing with earth building materials. If you want to buy construction earth, we will be happy to advise you. Just tell us about your building project. All clay building materials have a positive effect on the indoor climate. In addition to the effect of cleaning the room air, clay can absorb moisture from the room air, buffer it in the clay minerals and release it again. The more clay is used in the building, the better its indoor climate effect.
