Sound sapwood up to about 1/5 of the board width allowed; knot diameter for tight knots up to about 1/5 of the plank width allowed – measured on the narrow side; width of dry cracks in knots up to 8% of the knot diameter allowed; width of surface cracks up to 2% of the board width allowed; open resin pockets, knot holes, and larger drying cracks are standardly filled (standard filler color is brown). Loose knots are drilled out and replaced with a knot plug; slanting cracks (peeling) are not permitted; ring separations are not permitted.

Boards packed sealed in shrink film on pallet or loose in transport boxes wrapped in foil.
