To the Hessler plasters

Natural building materials from tradition

A family business that emerged from a classic lime and cement works and has defied the invasion of modern building materials for decades. The Hessler Kalkwerke enrich our range with traditional and natural building materials made from locally broken and burned limestone, clay and plant fibers. Natural products for healthy living spaces, produced locally in a sustainable and pollution-free manner. They always name their plasters with an abbreviation, first HP for Hessler plaster, followed by a number.

The versatile ones: natural lime base coats. Hessler Kalkwerke produces various natural lime base plasters for everything below the surface: as a base coat w. embedded fabric or on an existing, old subsurface, to build up the layer thickness, as an additional insulating plaster, to level out unevenness or even as a coarse top coat layer. They are suitable for inside and outside and can even be used in damp rooms: Lime is naturally resistant to fungus and mould. Only cellulose is added to the purely mineral products. This keeps your wall open to diffusion.

The mass counts

If you like to apply it thickly: natural lime insulating plaster. As always with insulation, the same applies here: the mass makes the difference. Lime plaster with expanded glass additive suitable for all rough masonry. And like all lime materials, it is open to diffusion and resistant to fungus and mould. The insulating plasters for exterior applications contain a small proportion of added white cement; For interiors, we offer you the product from Hessler Kalkwerke, the only lime insulating plaster that works completely without cement additives. Apply up to 3 cm thick layers of this stable and highly insulating plaster by hand or machine. If necessary, layers of fabric are worked into this plaster, which can sometimes have a total thickness of ten or twelve centimeters in order to achieve a decent insulating value.

Excellent ecological surfaces

Perfect for your interior: Natural lime fine-colored plaster and other noble surfaces with a grain size of 1 mm to 0.3 mm, white or individually colored: this finishing plaster can be completely adapted to your aesthetic perception in terms of look and feel. The plaster made of minerals and little cellulose also works without any synthetic additives and is extremely easy to work with.

You can use the natural lime fine-colored plaster as a finish for your interior or paint it afterwards. Smooth lime, tadelakt and the so-called marmorino are the finest lime spatulas with which elegant smooth surfaces can be realized, colored with pigments depending on taste. In addition to the range of plasters, Hessler also produces high-quality lime paints, a swamp lime paint and a lime-casein paint, which are outstanding both in terms of processing and the work result.

Lime plasters are naturally open to diffusion and therefore ideal for the room climate. The anti-mold, anti-fungal and even anti-pest properties of real lime enable it to be used in many areas.

We at the Lehm-Laden really like working with Hessler Kalkwerke, because ecological construction is also very important to them, even though they also have a lime-cement plaster system in their range.

Tadelakt - you will love your bathroom!

Tadelakt is an aesthetic, traditional and functional replacement for tiles in wet areas. Bathtubs, showers, floors or tiled mirrors in the bathroom or kitchen are made waterproof without a tile.

The natural lime components give the Tadelkakt a depth that seems to shine from within. In combination with the pigments, the tadelakt can be colored, the light reflection and depth are retained. The compression with the Tadelakt polishing stone leads to an effect that gives the plaster a lively note due to its slight unevenness.
