Was ist Kalkputz? 

Lime plaster is always a mixture of a burnt lime as the binder and suitable sands or aggregates. Depending on the composition, the result is coarse plasters for the base coat, fine plasters for smooth surfaces or lightweight insulating lime plasters. In our ready-mixed lime plasters, the sands are perfectly matched to the respective application – this makes application easier for you and ensures reliable results.

Benefits of lime plaster for indoor climate & building physics

Like clay, lime is one of the classic traditional building materials. It is purely mineral, vapour-permeable and weather-resistant, making it suitable not only for interiors but also for façades. Thanks to its alkalinity, lime plaster reduces the risk of mould: moulds, mosses and algae struggle to take hold on alkaline surfaces. At the same time, lime plaster can absorb moisture from the masonry and release it again, which supports drying and helps to reduce salt contamination.
