Conluto thinks, feels and designs clay. Since Conluto was founded by Jörg Meyer in 1993, everything in the company has revolved around the development, production and distribution of contemporary earthen building materials.
In the course of the last few years, a small East Westphalian company based on handicraft services has developed into a company operating throughout Europe. Today, Conluto produces and sells trend-setting clay products according to proven recipes and with consistently high, controlled quality on an area of around 14,000 square metres.
To minimise transport costs and effort, we often have the clay shipped directly from the factory. This means that even products that are rarely requested or mixed especially for you can be delivered quickly.
The classic products are the naturally moist clay undercoat plaster and the natually moist clay finish-coat plaster.
The easy-to-process clay plasters from Conluto can be applied with machines or by hand. The facing plasters can also be applied by machine. The surface strength and depth effect of a facing plaster cannot be achieved with any paint coat.

Conluto prefabricated elements made from rammed earth offer an efficient and sustainable solution for all building projects.

Conluto clay paint
The wide range of products includes clay plasters and paints, renovation systems (interior insulation systems, clay blocks), modern clay building solutions (rammed earth, clay building panels) as well as materials for restorations.
Conluto successfully combines tradition and innovation in each of its products.
In addition to the classic plasters, the Conluto clay paints are particularly recommended. These are mixtures of coloured earths and loams, to which cellulose and plant starch have been added in some cases for better processing. The high-quality surface strength that you achieve with these colours even allows them to be used in public areas. The clay paint is sold and delivered as a ready-mixed powder and is mixed with water, ready for use on the building site. This eliminates the need for chemical pot preservatives and unnecessary water transport, and the dry paint powder can be stored for years without damage.

Feine, tuchmatte Endoberfläche oder nur sauberer Untergrund – dafür braucht es Flächenspachtel. Mit gängigen, gipshaltigen Flächenspachteln ist das oft eine hektische Angelegenheit. Sie härten schnell aus, Unebenheiten zeigen sich erst nach dem Trocknen und müssen dann mühsam nachbearbeitet werden. Und wer schon einmal damit gearbeitet hat, kennt das unangenehme Gefühl von trockener Haut und staubigen Atemwegen.
Der Conluto Wand- und Flächenspachtel aus Lehm ist die nachhaltige und freundliche Alternative. Er bietet alle Vorteile herkömmlicher Spachtelmasse, ist aber viel leichter zu verarbeiten – ideal auch für geschickte Laien. Mit langer Verarbeitungszeit und einfacher Überarbeitung wird das Spachteln zum Kinderspiel. Ob Reiben, Glätten oder Schleifen bis zur Perfektion – die Anwendung ist überraschend einfach und das Ergebnis zu 100 % ökologisch.

The coloured clay fine plaster is a coloured plaster application for creative and healthy interior design. The mixture of loam and clay earths enables surfaces with a strong character, ranging from subtly iridescent to powerfully textured. A variety of individual effects can be achieved using processing techniques such as smoothing or sponging. The colour spectrum of the 16 colours ranges from subtle edelweiss to strong chestnut tones. Special creative accents can be created with effect materials such as mica mineral, straw fibres, real mica or mother-of-pearl sand.

Conluto also offers innovative solutions for clay dry construction: The clay building board reinforced on one side with jute fabric, in 16 and 22 mm thickness.
It can be mounted on walls, roof slopes and ceilings and combines the easy handling of dry construction elements with the excellent room-climatic properties of clay as a building material.

The scent of straw is pleasant and fragrant. It creates a pleasant living environment during construction, unlike working with plasterboard and white plaster dust.
The Clay with a swallow
The swallow is the clay builder with two wings, and so Conluto has made this friendly and nimble little animal, which is a protected species here, its emblem bird and decorates its packaging with it. In Conluto's production halls, the agile and chatty little birds find plenty of building material for their nests. In autumn 2019, Conluto was awarded the title of a swallow-friendly house.
