Floorboards – Natural living with solid wood
Natural & valuable:
A floorboard brings the natural beauty of wood into the room. Grain, color variations, and texture create a unique living experience. A solid wood floor impresses with authenticity and timeless elegance — it radiates warmth and naturalness that no other flooring can match.
Durable:
A solid wood floor is made of solid wood throughout and can be sanded down multiple times. This means it lasts for decades and still looks high-quality even after many years — an investment that pays off in the long run.
Healthy indoor climate:
Wood is a living material. A solid wood floor absorbs and releases moisture, contributing to a healthy and balanced indoor climate. This creates a comfortable and pleasant living atmosphere all year round..
Sustainable:
Solid wood comes from renewable resources and is especially environmentally friendly when sourced responsibly. Choosing a solid wood floor means investing in both durability and sustainability.
Economical over time:
While the initial cost of a solid wood floor is higher, its long lifespan and ability to be renovated make it a worthwhile investment over the years. It also noticeably increases the value of a house or apartment.
Floor insulation in old buildings
Gutex ThermoSafe-NF is the ideal subfloor for floorboards and parquet flooring. The impact sound insulation board made from wood fiber noticeably improves walking comfort and reduces unwanted noise. Thanks to its high heat storage capacity, it ensures pleasantly warm floors and a comfortable indoor climate.
The integrated installation strip made of spruce connects the panels securely and allows for safe screwing of the wooden floor. The tongue-and-groove system ensures quick, precise installation — completely without drying time.
Application & processing:
- Ideal under floorboards, parquet, and dry screed
- To be installed dry, level, and clean
- Insert installation battens with a 20 mm wall clearance
- Minimum thickness of the top layer: 19 mm
ThermoSafe-NF is made from untreated fir and spruce wood, is Natureplus-certified, recyclable, and completely safe from a building biology perspective — for healthy living spaces with natural warmth and quiet.

Gutshofdiele – The natural solid wood floor for warmth, comfort, and sustainability
The combination of solid wood planks and ThermoSafe-NF creates a flooring system that impresses with naturalness and functionality.
While the substructure insulates heat and sound, the planks bring natural aesthetics and a warm, inviting atmosphere to the space.
The result is a floor that is pleasantly warm, quiet, and durable — a combination of technical precision and craftsmanship that can be felt with every step.
This combination is especially suited for people who value sustainability, comfort, and authentic materials.
Hemp and clay: the perfect duo
A particularly natural and energy-efficient floor structure is created with the hemp lightweight clay fill LLS 200. This dry fill material consists exclusively of hemp fibers and clay — two raw materials that complement each other perfectly and together form a stable, seamless insulating layer. The long hemp fibers interlock during installation, while the clay provides sound insulation through its weight. The result is a durable, heat-insulating, and sound-decoupling base for our wooden floorboards.
LLS 200 is 100% ecological, free from harmful substances, and completely biodegradable. It’s easy to work with — entirely without drying time. The material is applied dry and compacted in layers. The floor is then laid floating on top. Under the weight of the floor, a compact, dimensionally stable layer forms, providing excellent thermal and sound insulation.
With a maximum recommended fill height of around 14 cm, the hemp lightweight clay fill provides the perfect base for solid wood planks such as the Gutshofdiele. It creates a quiet, pleasantly warm floor that perfectly decouples impact sound, resulting in a noticeably higher quality of living. Through the natural interaction of hemp and clay, a breathable floor structure is formed that regulates humidity, improves the indoor climate, and supports a healthy, sustainable home.

Gutshofdiele on cross battening with Thermofibre and hemp edge strips
In this construction, the insulation made of Thermofibre is carefully installed between the cross battens — surrounded by hemp edge strips for natural decoupling.
The Gutshofdiele is then laid on top as a warm, elegant surface. The result is a fully breathable, ecological floor structure that offers excellent thermal and impact sound insulation properties while creating a noticeably healthy indoor climate.
