Floor insulation in old buildings
Gutex ThermoSafe-NF is the ideal substrate for plank floors and parquet floors. Wood-fibre impact sound insulation boards noticeably improve walking comfort and reduce disturbing noise. Thanks to its high heat storage capacity, it can contribute to pleasantly warm floors and a comfortable indoor climate. The integrated pine batten connects the boards securely and allows the wooden base to be screwed in place reliably. The tongue-and-tongue system enables fast and precise laying – with no drying time at all. Application & treatment:

Hemp and tenant quality: the perfect duo
A particularly natural and energy-efficient floor structure is created with the hemp lightweight clay fill LLS 200. This dry fill material consists exclusively of hemp fibers and clay — two raw materials that complement each other perfectly and together form a stable, seamless insulating layer. The long hemp fibers interlock during installation, while the clay provides sound insulation through its weight. The result is a durable, heat-insulating and sound-decoupling base for our wooden floorboards.
LLS 200 consists exclusively of hemp fibres and clay, without synthetic binders or additives, and can be dismantled and separated by material type. It is easy to install, with no drying time at all. The material is placed dry and compacted in layers. The floor is then laid on top as a floating floor. Under the pressure of the floor, a compact, dimensionally stable layer forms that provides excellent thermal and sound insulation.
With a maximum recommended fill depth of around 14 cm, the hemp light-clay fill provides the perfect base for solid wooden floorboards such as the Gutshofdiele. It creates a quiet floor that is warm underfoot and perfectly decouples impact sound, making a noticeable difference to living comfort. The combination of hemp and clay results in a floor build-up that can absorb moisture and release it again.

Gutshofdiele on hemp lightweight clay fill LLS 200
The combination of Gutshofdiele floorboards and LLS 200 hemp light clay fill brings together solid wood, hemp and clay to create a stable, durable floor build-up.
The hemp and clay fill evens out irregularities, improves impact sound insulation and absorbs moisture. Combined with solid timber floorboards, the result is a durable floor that offers both warmth and comfort. It is suitable for existing buildings and new builds alike, for those who value natural building materials.

In this build-up, the Thermofibre insulation is carefully placed between the counter-battens – surrounded by hemp edge strips for effective decoupling.
Laid on top, the Gutshofdiele creates a warm, elegant surface. The result is a floor build-up made from plant-based materials with very good thermal and impact sound properties.
