Insulating screed made of hemp and clay

    by Hanffaser Uckermark

The hemp-clay levelling fill can be used in many ways:

    - for impact sound insulation under timber floors, dry screed boards or tiles

    - as a levelling compound on concrete

    - as an embedding compound for underfloor heating

The levelling fill is usually laid dry, screeded off and then sprayed with sufficient water. Depending on the season, drying can take one or several days. Once it has dried, the floorboards can be laid.

Levelling and layer thicknesses from 4 mm to 30 mm are possible. One 25 kg bag is sufficient for 3 m² at 10 mm or for 1 m² at 30 mm.

The building-physics properties correspond to those of the LLS-200.

Conventional levelling compounds can contain many chemicals. Pure cement mixes need water again and again over a long period. The levelling compound made from hemp shives, hemp fibres and clay powder is a genuine alternative here!
