Clay dry plasterboard D=16 mm, whole pallet

Technical

• Area of application: Clay building board used as dry lining for cladding existing plaster surfaces as well as concrete and calcium silicate masonry walls, etc. For cladding continuous timber boarding and wood-based panels. As a substrate for YOSIMA Lehm-Designputz or CLAYTEC Lehm-Oberputz fein with CLAYFIX Lehm-Anstrich.

• Composition: Building clay and pure clay, perlite, reed mesh, hemp, jute fabric.

• Dimensions and weights: W = 62.5 cm, L = 62.5 cm, T = approx. 16 mm. Weight approx. 4.4 kg/board = approx. 11.2 kg/m2

• Delivery form: Shrink-wrapped on pallets of 120 pcs.

• Substrate: Must be load-bearing, frost-free, dry, clean (wood-based panels free of dust), free from salt contamination, sufficiently rough
and absorbent. Roughly repair any defects. If necessary, consolidate sanding substrates with CLAYTEC Deep Primer and Consolidant.
• Application: The boards are cut with a jigsaw or a hand-held circular saw. The FESTOOL diamond cutting system DSC-AG 125 Plus-FS is particularly suitable. The flat side, not the slightly corrugated side, is to be plastered. The bottom row of boards is installed with a small gap (“air”) to the floor. On absorbent mineral substrates, the boards are bonded with clay adhesive and reinforcement mortar approx. 3 mm thick. To do this, apply the material with a notched trowel or notched spatula (8-10 mm notch) over areas that are not too large. The boards are pressed firmly into the adhesive layer. For uneven walls as well as ceilings and sloping ceilings, we recommend also applying adhesive to the back of the boards and immediately securing them with suitable fixings (hammer-in anchors or similar). On timber or wood-based materials, fix across the surface with screws (CLAYTEC clay building board screws at 200 mm spacing), but as a rule with staples of 25 mm, e.g. haubold staples series KG 700 (ETA approval), staple spacing approx. 150 mm, edge distance 25 mm (from the centre of the staple). Wood-based panels should not be pierced by the screws or staples. The boards are butted together as tightly as possible without joints. Continuing the edges of wall openings with horizontal or vertical joints is not permitted. The boards are installed with joints staggered by at least 20 cm, preferably 30 cm
