Clay plaster terra fein, earth-moist (without plant-based aggregates)

• Mixture of crushed building clay and mixed-grain sand
• suitable for open plastering machine systems
• possible application thickness 2 to 4 mm
• is used for skimming clay building boards or drywall boards (after prior priming with conluto wall and ceiling primer)
• for creating fine surface finishes

A clay plaster without added aggregates for producing a surface ready for painting. Grading up to 1 mm, oversize grains up to 2 mm possible.

I like to use Terra fein from Conluto for surfaces ready for painting. This clay plaster is not dried during production, which saves costs and makes it the most affordable fine clay plaster on the market.

Many customers also choose the fine plaster as a visible surface. The fine plaster contains no chopped straw and has a very attractive, earthy brown colour.

Clay paint on clay plaster terra fein

Colour can then be applied very effectively with Conluto clay paint or clay brush-on plaster.
If you rub Terra fein hard with a float, you get a very firm surface. However, hard-floating the thin plaster is difficult because it has to be done at exactly the right moment, and the thin coat makes this harder. It is easier to felt the plaster with the latex float and then fix the surface with casein primer. The casein reduces the moisture absorption of the clay only very slightly and prevents the surface from dusting. A coat of paint can then be applied without any problems.
