This ceiling brush from the Augsburg brush manufactory features bristles set in bundles—specifically, bundles approximately 8 mm thick embedded in a glue bed—using a light-coloured blend of Chinese bristles (20% natural hog bristle, 80% synthetic). This construction ensures a strong, durable bond between the bristles and the brush body.
The oval wooden body serves as the bristle mount; both the body and the handle are crafted from untreated solid wood. A sturdy plastic screw fitting connects the handle to the wooden body. A robust metal bucket hook is securely attached to the handle's screw fitting on the brush body, allowing the brush to be hung from the rim of a bucket.
The brush fits comfortably in the hand, thanks in part to the untreated natural wood. Each handle is individually turned and is slightly longer than standard commercial handles.

The block brush is particularly suitable for clay paints, lime paints, and brush-on plasters.
