Clay powder for making your own clay plasters or other clay building materials. Making your own clay plasters is usually more cost-effective than buying ready-made plasters.

When mixing clay plasters, pay attention to the different grain structures and colours. Recipes for making clay plasters can be found in the Handbuch Lehmbau (Clay Building Handbook). To make coloured clay plasters, coloured clays and a local sand with the correct grading are usually sufficient. Intense and attractive colours can be achieved by mixing coloured sands and coloured clays.

Different colours can produce interesting mixed shades here, but unfortunately they can also simply look dingy. Test areas should always be created. Have fun experimenting!
