Colour sand green

The coloured sands are kiln-dried sands with a grain size of 0-2 mm. The green sand has a real peculiarity: at first glance it looks white with black specks. The black specks are a mineral that crumbles easily and turns greenish when rubbed.

For making your own plaster mixes in individual colours. The sands consist partly of crushed and partly of screened rounded grains. For a homogeneous clay plaster, it makes sense to use some of both grain structures.

You can find recipes for clay plasters in the specialist books "Handbuch Lehmbau" or "Lehm- und Kalkputze". To achieve good results, take your time to find the right mix and always apply test areas.
