Hard Wax, Classic No. 971

AURO Hard Wax Classic No. 971 is a dirt-repellent balm made from beeswax and plant wax for wooden furniture and floors, linoleum, cork and unglazed terracotta tiles. It enhances and protects for a long time: 2 to 4 years on surfaces under normal wear.

Suitable for heavily used furniture and floors, can also be used on cork.

Use & Application

Apply the wax evenly and thinly with a pad or cloth to surfaces treated with AURO Classic or PurSolid hard oils. Buff while still soft.

Tip: Polishing after 4 to 6 hours gives a silk-matt finish; polishing after 6 to 22 hours gives a silk-gloss finish. Pre-treat woods rich in extractives with AURO Special Primer No. 117 and other woods with AURO Hard Primer No. 127.

No. 971 is the Classic variant, designed for the aftercare of surfaces treated with AURO Classic or PurSolid hard oils, including heavily used furniture.

Do I need to pre-treat the wood?

Yes, the wax is applied to surfaces that have already been oiled. Treat woods rich in extractives beforehand with AURO Special Primer No. 117, and other woods with AURO Hard Primer No. 127.
