Hemp shives – natural, versatile, and sustainable
Our hemp shives are truly versatile—natural, untreated, and suitable for a wide range of applications.
They are extracted from the woody interior of the hemp plant, gently crushed, and reduced to a grain size of 2–25 mm. With a bulk density of approx. 100 kg/m³, they are particularly light and easy to process.
Perfectly suited for ecological house construction, for light clay, hemp-lime insulation, or as a natural balancing layer in the IsoHemp system.
And best of all: hemp is a rapidly renewable raw material that binds CO₂ as it grows, thus actively contributing to climate protection.

Batichanvre Plus
BATICHANVRE® PLUS from Saint-Astier® is a natural lime binder that has been specially developed for use with hemp. When combined with hemp shives, it creates a particularly sustainable, diffusion-open, and healthy insulation material—ideal for anyone who wants to build or renovate in an ecological and forward-thinking way.
IsoHemp ProKalk
ProKalk is a specially developed binder for producing hemp lime. It consists of hydraulic lime and air lime. It is a ready-to-use product that allows you to produce mixtures on site, thus avoiding the risk of incorrect dosing.
