Hessler lime-clay finishing plaster with hemp
HP 90 KL is used as a finishing plaster/levelling plaster for interior use. HP 90 KL can be applied to all types of masonry and to sound, sufficiently rough existing plasters. On highly absorbent substrates and in very warm weather, the substrate must be pre-wetted sufficiently. If necessary, the plaster must be moistened with water after application. Alternatively, application of the HP 10 spatterdash mortar is recommended. Concrete surfaces must first be prepared with HP 14 natural lime bonding plaster using a notched trowel. Once this has hardened sufficiently, HP 90 KL is sprayed on to a thickness of approx. 10 mm. Surfaces that are to be tiled must be plastered with HP1 lime-cement plaster.
Application of HP 90 KL
HP 90 KL can be processed with all standard plastering machines. Please refer to the machine manufacturer's operating instructions. For manual application, mix the contents of the bag with approx. 8 l of water/bag. The plaster thickness is approx. 3 mm when used as a finishing coat and approx. 10mm when used as a levelling plaster. HP 90 KL or the natural lime finishing plaster HP 90 can be used as the finishing coat, The drying time is at least 1 day/mm of application thickness.
