In addition to water-based systems, there are also electrically operated heating surfaces (also known as infrared heating). The electric climate panels are used to support the existing heating system or as the sole source of heating. As they contain no water as a heating medium (no risk of frost), they are particularly suitable for use in rooms or buildings that are only used occasionally, e.g. holiday homes or event venues. Installation is simple: the climate panels are screwed onto flat substrates such as solid timber walls, timber boarding and board materials, or onto stud frameworks. You fill the areas not covered with wall heating panels with clay building boards and then skim the entire surface with a finishing plaster reinforced with glass-fibre mesh. This surface is ready for painting straight away.

With the WEM climate element, a wall heating system can be installed quickly and easily using dry construction. Compared with systems that are plastered, you introduce only very little water into the building fabric, so long drying times are eliminated.
