KREIDEZEIT Corfu Soap is a pure olive oil soap, hand-made in a small manufactory on the Greek island of Corfu from nothing but locally produced olive oil, caustic soda, water and sea salt, without colourants, preservatives or fragrances.

Supplied as grated flakes that dissolve in warm water. Use as a mild cleaner for oiled or waxed cork, wood and tiled floors as well as linoleum, for cleaning oil-soiled brushes and rollers, for cleaning hands and, as a 2 % solution, for the water-repellent treatment of KREIDEZEIT lime surfaces.

Suitable substrates

Oiled/waxed floors and surfaces, tools soiled with oil, hands; KREIDEZEIT lime plasters and lime paints (water-repellent treatment).

Use & Application

Floor cleaning: Dissolve 2 tbsp Corfu soap in 1 l boiling water, dilute with 7 l water and clean the floor as usual.

Tool cleaning: Dissolve 4–5 tbsp in 1 l of boiling water; wash out oil-soiled brushes/rollers in the solution.

Water-repellent treatment: Dissolve 20 g of soap flakes per litre of water (2 %) and brush thinly onto dried lime surfaces, working from the bottom upwards – do not roll, and do not use a stronger concentration.

What do I use Corfu Soap for?

How do I clean an oiled wooden floor?
Dissolve 2 tbsp of flakes in 1 l of boiling water, dilute with 7 l of water and wipe with a well-wrung-out mop or cloth. Do not scrub and do not leave standing water.

Why does the soap hardly lather?
Pure olive oil soap without added surfactants produces little lather – this does not affect its cleaning performance.
