Full-tone binder

Binder (powder for mixing) for making full-tone wall and ceiling paints from KREIDEZEIT earth and mineral pigments, for interior use. Mixed 1:1 with pigment – not used unpigmented as a sole coat. Without titanium white, highly vapour-permeable. Coverage: approx. 50 g Vollton binder + 50 g pigment per m² per coat – 500 g ≈ 10 m², 1.5 kg ≈ 30 m².

    With KREIDEZEIT Vollton Bindemittel and KREIDEZEIT pigments, you can mix full-tone wall and ceiling paints to your own requirements, from single pigments or blends in any ratio (not suitable for pearlescent pigments).

    The binder is mixed with pigment in a 1:1 ratio and must not be used unpigmented as a sole coat. For damp rooms, we recommend KREIDEZEIT Sumpfkalkfarbe (lime putty paint).

    Geeignete Untergründe

    For interior use on all sound, absorbent plasters (clay, lime, gypsum, cement), fillers, woodchip wallpaper, pure paper wallpapers, paper-based non-woven wallpaper, plasterboard, gypsum fibreboards and concrete. On firmly adhering, matt dispersion paints after a test area.

    Anwendung & Verarbeitung

    Priming: Prime plasters, fillers, drywall boards, concrete and old emulsion paints with KREIDEZEIT Vega Primer or Casein Primer.

    Mixing: Measure out binder and pigment in a ratio of 1:1, stir together into water until free of lumps, leave to swell, then stir again. Do not use unpigmented.

    Application: As a rule, 2 coats applied with criss-cross strokes; use mixed paint on the same day.

    Tools & cleaning: immediately with water.

    Häufige Fragen

    How do I mix a full-strength colour?
    Measure out binder and KREIDEZEIT pigment 1:1, stir them together in water until free of lumps and leave to swell. Different pigments can be mixed as required.

    Can I apply the binder as a white coat?
    No. It must be pigmented and must not be used unpigmented as a sole coat.

    Also suitable for pearlescent pigments?
    No. The Vollton Bindemittel is not suitable for pearlescent pigments.

    For bathrooms and kitchens?
    In damp areas and areas exposed to splash water, use KREIDEZEIT slaked lime paint.
