Pinol - for preservation

Many KREIDEZEIT wall paints (casein paints, clay paint, distemper) are deliberately formulated as powders and contain no preservatives. Once mixed, however, they only keep for one to a few days. KREIDEZEIT Pinol extends this pot life to many weeks, so a project can be painted in several stages without constantly having to mix new batches.

Recommended amount: 5 ml Pinol per kg of paint powder. The actual keeping time depends on storage, water quality and cleanliness and cannot be guaranteed.

Suitable substrates

As an additive to mixed KREIDEZEIT casein paints, clay paint and distemper.

Application & Processing

Application: Mix the wall paint with water as instructed, observe the swelling time and stir again. Then thoroughly stir in 5 ml of Pinol per kg of paint powder for 1–2 minutes.

Storage: Never store mixed paint uncovered – seal the container airtight and additionally cover the paint surface with plastic film. Store in a cool place and use clean water.
