LLS 600 - Hemp rammed earth
Zum Aufbau von tragenden, dämmenden Stampflehm-Wänden
LLS 600 between the formwork layer and the slip formwork
- Before construction actually begins, an inner formwork of shuttering boards is erected.
- The external formwork slides upwards layer by layer along vertical battens, which are to be removed later.
- LLS 600 is mixed bag by bag and shovelled into the space between the inner leaf and the slipform.
- The LLS 600 is pressed into place with a rammed earth tamper.
- The slipform can be removed immediately after rammed compaction and repositioned higher up.
LLS 600 is supplied as a dry, ready-mixed product. Always in 25
kg bags. Delivery in big bags is not possible, as the dry mix would
separate. Delivery in an earth-moist state is
impractical, as the material would then have to be used without delay, and
something unexpected always comes up on site.
Prepare the mix with very little water. Do NOT mix. The
"drier-than-earth-moist" mix is to be rammed into the space between the formwork.
For a wall thickness of 24 cm, approx. 6 bags are required per 1 m².
Since LLS 600 is an insulation material, there is no point at all in heating up the ambient air and then exchanging this heated air through purge ventilation. Owing to the insulating effect, the heat does not penetrate into the interior of the LLS 600.
So the only thing that helps is: air! Air! Air!
In addition, the LLS 600 should be mixed with as little water as possible and only applied in the months of March to August.
