Plantodecor Premium Wall Paint No. 524

Plantodecor® Premium Wall Paint No. 524 is a premium emulsion paint made without added solvents that stays permanently white and offers excellent opacity. It adheres reliably even to difficult substrates such as latex paint, which is a clear advantage in renovation work where re-priming would otherwise be necessary.

The bio-based binder REPLEBIN®, developed in-house by AURO research, guarantees professional product properties and a high abrasion resistance class 1. The paint has been tested for low emissions in accordance with AgBB and by TÜV Rheinland, and its low product emissions have been confirmed by the Bremer Umweltinstitut.

Use & Application

Stir well before application, then apply 1 to 2 coats evenly with a brush or roller. Allow a recoating time of 4 to 6 hours between coats.

Tip: The fast drying allows quick overcoating, which is handy for renovations under time pressure.

Can I paint Plantodecor directly over old latex paint?

Yes, that is one of the particular advantages of this paint: it adheres reliably even to latex paint and other difficult existing substrates, without the need for a special bonding primer.

Is the paint low-emission?

Yes, it has been tested according to the AgBB and TÜV Rheinland criteria, and the Bremer Umweltinstitut has confirmed its low product emissions.

Does Plantodecor contain preservatives?

Yes, unlike some other AURO wall paints, Plantodecor contains small amounts of preservatives (benzisothiazolinone, sodium pyrithione), which ensure the shelf life of the dispersion and protect it against mould.

How much area does one container cover?

1 litre covers around 9 m², 5 litres around 45 m² and 10 litres around 90 m² with two coats on a substrate of normal absorbency.

How long do I need to wait between two coats?

The recoating time is 4 to 6 hours – thanks to the fast drying, work can continue quickly.

Can I tint the paint?

Yes, with AURO Full-Tone and Tinting Colour No. 330.
