Hanyaki trowels are the standard Japanese plastering trowels for applying and smoothing clay and lime plasters. After forging, the Hanyaki steel is hardened once. Hanyaki is an all-round steel that is reasonably suitable for all plaster coats. Compared with a Honyaki, the Hanyaki is less hard. The usual length of this trowel is between 210mm and 270 mm.
