If you want to connect a low-temperature surface heating system to a supply with a high flow temperature, you need to be able to regulate the flow temperature. The RTL valve measures the temperature of the returning water. Regulation works by releasing only so little water at the return that the temperature in the heating circuit is lower than in the flow of the heating system. The heating circuit can also be filled and bled in the box.
