Wall Paint, titanium dioxide-free No. 321-20

AURO Wall Paint, titanium dioxide-free No. 321-20 is a matt, permanently white interior wall paint based on a plant-based binder. It is developed for anyone who deliberately wants to avoid the white pigment titanium dioxide without compromising on opacity or workability. The bio-based binder REPLEBIN®, developed in-house by AURO's research department, ensures particularly good adhesion to the substrate, is oil-free and does not yellow, even after years.

The paint contains no added preservatives, produces little dripping and spattering during application and has been tested for low emissions by the Bremer Umweltinstitut – a good choice for living spaces with high requirements for indoor air quality.

Use & Application

On substrates with normal absorbency, prime with slightly diluted wall paint; on highly absorbent substrates (e.g. fresh plaster), we recommend applying AURO Tiefengrund Nr. 301 first. Then apply 1 to 2 undiluted coats, allowing a drying time of around 6 hours between coats.

Tip: For a clean finish, first paint the edges and corners with a brush, then quickly go over the surfaces with a roller.

Frequently asked questions

What does ‘titanium dioxide-free’ mean for this wall paint?

Many conventional white wall paints use titanium dioxide (TiO₂) as a white pigment for high opacity. This AURO wall paint deliberately does without it. Instead, it achieves its opacity through an optimised formulation with the bio-based binder REPLEBIN® and mineral fillers.

Where can I find all the ingredients of the paint?

The paint contains no added solvents or preservatives, is vegan and has been tested for low emissions by the Bremer Umweltinstitut – well suited to living spaces with high requirements for indoor air.

How much area does one container cover?

5 litres are sufficient for around 45 m², 10 litres for around 90 m² with two coats on a normally absorbent substrate. The exact requirement depends on the substrate and the desired opacity.

Yes. It can be tinted with AURO Full-Tone and Tinting Paint No. 330, or glazed afterwards with AURO Wall Glaze Plant Colour No. 360 or the dirt-repellent Wall Glaze Wax No. 370.

How long do I need to wait between two coats?

Allow around 6 hours drying time between coats before applying the next undiluted coat.

Do I need to pre-treat the substrate?
