Water glass (plaster substrate consolidator)

Water glass is a mineral deep-penetrating primer. Primer for friable, sanding substrates for interior and exterior use.
The deep-penetrating primer is diluted with an equal amount of water and can then be used on friable, sanding and highly absorbent substrates.

Suitable substrates are plaster, concrete, plasterboard and also old emulsion paint coatings. The silicate-based penetrating primer Hessler Biofixativ consolidates the substrate through silicification and saturates highly absorbent substrates. This gives you more time to work the plaster evenly. If the substrate is too absorbent, the penetrating primer should be applied undiluted. Hessler Biofixativ is water vapour-permeable (see technical data sheet for value), non-combustible and weather-resistant. It can therefore be used both indoors and outdoors.
Protective gloves and safety goggles should be worn during application. The water glass can damage other surfaces, especially glass. Any splashes on glass must be rinsed off immediately with plenty of water.
