Moisture-free bathroom with Tadelakt
Tiles do not always have to be used in bathrooms. Joint-free wall surfaces are modern and are also easier to clean. Where it is not possible to physically enlarge a small bathroom, a tile-free bathroom design can make the room look larger.
We use tadelakt, a Moroccan fine lime plaster that is compacted with polishing soap, making it water-resistant. This plaster creates a unique atmosphere, appeals to
the senses and evokes a cosy mood of calm and relaxation.
As an alternative, we offer FUTADO, a microcement from Volimea, which is sealed with a water-based 2K lacquer system and is therefore waterproof. This seamless floor and wall coating gives any wall or floor a unique look, similar to a ‘stucco’ finish.
In most cases the tiles can also stay in place, so there is no dust or rubble.
You can be very creative in how you work with both materials, it's simply fun.
