Alcohol

KREIDEZEIT Alcohol is a fermentation alcohol (ethyl alcohol, spirit of wine), obtained by fermenting plant material containing sugar or starch followed by distillation. For technical applications it is denatured (made unfit for consumption with a bittering agent and other additives).

For thinning alcohol-soluble KREIDEZEIT products (Shellac Insulating Primer, Shellac Wax Polish), cleaning tools soiled with them, removing stains, degreasing surfaces and dissolving alcohol-soluble natural resins (shellac, copals).

Suitable substrates

Application & Processing

Thinning: Adjust shellac products to the desired consistency with alcohol as required.

Cleaning: Clean tools with alcohol immediately after use.
