Lime bonding plaster is the all-rounder among lime plasters

Lime bonding plaster for strong adhesion and brilliant white surfaces

All lime bonding plasters are mineral lime plasters for interior use which, thanks to their grain size and special mix, have particularly high bonding and adhesive strength. This makes them ideal as an intermediate layer between different building materials, for example for bonding internal insulation boards or as a bonding coat where two different building materials are not compatible or where a surface is too smooth to take a clay or lime plaster. They can be applied to almost any substrate, for example as a solid, sound and load-bearing layer for subsequent plaster on problematic substrates.
The lime bonding plasters are enhanced with marble sand and quartz sand, which significantly improves their bonding strength and workability and also gives them a very high degree of whiteness. This makes the bonding plasters from Kreidezeit in particular very well suited as a base for tadelakt or other decorative lime plasters. However, they can also be used as a final finishing coat: from a textured to a rough to a fine, smooth surface, you can design your brilliant white interior wall with great creativity. Thanks to its high-white constituents, this plaster requires no synthetic pigments at all, and you can even do without painting over it. But of course, a coloured wall design with the shimmering colour intensity characteristic of lime plasters is also possible, as the bonding plaster can be tinted with pigments. If the bonding plaster serves as a bonding coat between two different materials or as a bonding bridge on a substrate that is too smooth, it must be applied with a rough surface. Before the next coat of plaster, the bonding plaster must dry out thoroughly (one day per millimetre of plaster thickness). Owing to their vapour-permeable, alkaline properties, which reduce the risk of mould, lime plasters and lime paints are ideal for use in damp rooms. Lime plaster reduces condensation on surfaces.
