Claytec glass fibre mesh
Surface reinforcement for clay adhesive and reinforcing mortars and all clay plasters. CLAYTEC glass fabric is a leno-weave fabric made of glass filament yarn/roving, finished with a polymer coating. It has high tensile strength, is very fine and is particularly easy to work with.
Technical data
- Application: As surface reinforcement for clay plasters, wood fibre internal insulation, linings made of clay building boards and wood fibre interior boards, and sheathing made of clay building boards, clay-hemp boards and wood fibre interior boards.
- Composition: leno-weave fabric made of glass-fibre yarn/roving, finished with a polymer coating for mesh fabrics.
- Weight: approx. 65g/m2,
- Warp/weft: approx. 16/16 threads per 10 cm
- Mesh size: approx. 5.5 x 5.5 mm.
- Supplied as: roll, width 100 cm, length 100 m (35.010), length 35 m (35.013)
- Storage: Can be stored for at least three years in a dry, well-ventilated place protected from direct sunlight.
- Material requirement: per m2 of plaster surface plus 10% to 20% reserve for offcuts and overlaps.
- Application: The mesh is laid onto the freshly applied, still plastic mortar and rubbed in with a felt float. The overlap at the joints must be approx. 10 cm. (For linings made of clay building boards, clay-hemp boards and wood-fibre interior boards, the mesh is generally embedded over the full surface in clay adhesive and reinforcing mortar.)
