Claytec willow rods for timber-frame renovation
Split willow rods for wattle in timber-frame infill panels. Traditional clay infill techniques are used in the conservation of historic buildings. They are often not only more practical than masonry, but also enjoyable to work with. This time-honoured craft is creative and satisfying, and the timber frame becomes a house. The semicircular cross-section makes the rods pliable and flexible.
