Sound sapwood up to about 1/5 of the board width allowed; knot diameter for tight knots up to about 1/5 of the plank width allowed – measured on the narrow side; width of dry cracks in knots up to 8% of the knot diameter allowed; width of surface cracks up to 2% of the board width allowed; open resin pockets, knot holes, and larger drying cracks are standardly filled (standard filler color is brown). Loose knots are drilled out and replaced with a knot plug; slanting cracks (peeling) are not permitted; ring separations are not permitted.
Boards packed sealed in shrink film on pallet or loose in transport boxes wrapped in foil.

Fakten:
No solid wood floorboard feels “warmer underfoot” than a spruce floorboard. It owes this special quality to its large softwood zones. Its light colour tone and uniform wood appearance make every room with spruce floorboards look bright and inviting. A moderate proportion of knots and the characterful grain nevertheless make every floor unique. Machine brushing increases the durability of the floor.
Oiling deepens the original colour of the wood.
