DIE WEISSE primer
by Claytec
Liquid primer without grain, for use before applying Claytec clay paint, clay brush-on plaster and other clay paint fillers. Substrates are clay plasters and others as required. The WHITE primer ensures that the clay plaster is not dissolved by and mixed with the paint coat. It creates a firm base for later repeat coats.
Composition: limestone powder, water, water glass, clay, polymer dispersion < 5% (to improve adhesion properties and application reliability), perlite, cellulose fibres, methyl cellulose, xanthan.
Pack sizes, coverage: Item no. 13.415 10 l bucket, liquid, for approx. 100 m². Item no. 13.410 5 l bucket, liquid, for approx. 50 m².
Storage: In sealed containers, the product can be stored in a dry, cool (frost-free!) place for at least one year. Reseal opened containers tightly.
Preparation: Normally stir thoroughly undiluted; up to 5% water may be added.
Substrate: The substrate must be load-bearing, firm and clean. Substrate temperature 5-25 °C. Remove old, poorly adhering coatings and wash off water-soluble coatings. Brush down dusting plasters and wash down afterwards. Prepare heavily dusting substrates with CLAYTEC deep primer and consolidant. Fresh gypsum, lime or cement plasters must be at least 10 days old and dry. Highly alkaline substrates, e.g. fresh concrete surfaces with sinter skin, must be professionally fluosilicate-treated (neutralised) and any formwork release oil residues washed off. CLAYTEC primers have no consolidating or sealing effect.
Application: Apply generously with full coverage using a short-pile roller or a brush.
Drying: The next coat can only be applied once fully dry, after 48 hours at the earliest. Drying time depends on temperature and humidity.
