Japanese smoothing trowel

This trowel is the standard plastering trowel of a Japanese clay builder. Honyaki trowels are mainly used for the final finishing of decorative finish plasters. This trowel is slightly wider than the standard Honyaki finishing trowels, which also makes it possible to apply clay and lime plasters. The steel is relatively hard, allowing good compaction and high pressure to be exerted on the surface. The ideal trowel for applying, smoothing, compacting and also simply for touching up clay plaster or lime plaster. It can also be used to a limited extent for cement plaster.
