Convex Japanese finishing trowel

A powerful tool for smoothing and compacting. The trowel blade, handcrafted from robust, hard Honyaki steel at Yamanishi-San's traditional Japanese forge, is convexly curved in all directions.

This special shape lets you apply extremely high force to a small area to compact lime or clay plaster. It also eliminates any risk of damaging the surface with trowel blows.

The typical Japanese handle, whose stem is gripped between the index and middle fingers, is mounted above the trowel blade. This further improves the transfer of force and enhances handling. This trowel is available in various lengths from 60 to 120 mm.
