Use

HP 9SL is used as an insulating/dehumidifying plaster for interior use. HP 9SL can be applied to all types of masonry as well as to rough-formed concrete, pumice concrete and no-fines concrete. The lightweight aggregate is expanded glass. The Hessler lime insulating plaster HP 9 SL-I is the only lime insulating plaster without any cement content or other pozzolans. The plaster is also very well suited for use as internal insulation in timber-frame buildings.

Advantages

A particular advantage of HP 9 SL is its high yield. 1 bag produces 32 litres of fresh mortar. The pressure-resistant expanded glass remains fully intact even after machine application of the insulating plaster, so both the insulating effect and the yield are retained. HP 9 SL can be finished directly as the final coat; further work steps with an adhesive mortar and mesh are not strictly necessary.

The surface can be floated or finely sponged; it looks particularly attractive if the plaster is painted with lime putty paint directly after floating. This creates a very strong bond between paint and plaster.

The heat radiation of the insulating plaster is particularly pleasant: when touched, body heat is reflected directly. The effect can also be felt without direct contact.

Application

HP 9SL can be applied with all standard plastering machines (with insulating plaster attachment). Please refer to the machine manufacturer's operating instructions. The plaster thickness per application is 30mm. Once the coat has stiffened, the next layer can be applied.
