Clay wall heating

The core of the drywall system is the WEM Klimaelement, a 25 mm thick clay board with integrated heating pipes. WEM Klimaelemente are used to build wall and ceiling constructions that can both heat and cool. Installation is simple: the Klimaelemente are screwed onto flat substrates such as solid timber walls, timber boarding and board materials, or onto stud frameworks. Areas not covered with wall heating boards are made up with WEM clay building boards, which contain no pipes. The entire surface is then skimmed with WEM clay finishing plaster and reinforced with glass-fibre mesh. The finished surface can be painted, for example with WEM FarbTon clay paint. The WEM Klimaelement lets you install wall heating quickly and conveniently as a drywall system. Compared with plastered systems, only very little water is introduced into the building fabric. Long drying times are eliminated.
