    Clay dry fill from Claytec

    Dry, free-flowing ceiling fill. Clay ceiling fill GRANULAT consists of crushed pieces of clay block.

    Technical details

    • Clay product type: clay fill (LT) in accordance with 3.6 of the “Lehmbau Regeln” (Clay Building Rules) of the Dachverband Lehm.

    • Area of application: Dry, free-flowing ceiling fill for filling cavities, thermal storage and improving sound insulation.

    • Composition: loam and clay, grain size 0-25 mm, oversize grains generally up to 4 cm, larger fragments also possible.

    • Building material values: bulk density with lightly compacted fill approx. 1,350 kg/m3 (thermal conductivity 0.56 W/mK, µ 5/10).

    • Delivery forms: dry, 1.0 t big bags (0.75 m3 lightly compacted loose fill)

    • Storage: Store in a dry place. Can be stored indefinitely.

    • Application: The dry fill is supplied ready to use. The trickle protection must be installed carefully and securely. The material is poured between sleepers or ceiling joists. The fill height should be at least 60 mm; depending on the fill height, individual larger fragments must be picked out or broken up. This does not constitute grounds for a complaint.

    • Note: Because moisture may have been absorbed during transport and storage on site, the moisture content of the material must be given a final check before the walking surface layers are laid (manual or visual check).
