Nachhaltig Bauen
Facility management, property management, circular economy, construction planning

Constructing buildings with natural building materials
The book offers an introduction to this subject through three approaches: school of thought, tools of the trade and examples. It contrasts existing building practice with an approach that is based on the entire life cycle of buildings and requires thinking and planning in systems and scenarios. This calls for a modern self-image on the part of the planner, who takes responsibility for all processes of planning and building management and does not confine themselves to the design alone.
Examples of nature-oriented building illustrate possible approaches and show which ideas work and where there is still room for optimisation. An appendix with a comprehensive overview of tools for resource-conscious construction completes the publication. It covers the entire life cycle of buildings, from construction through use to disposal, and addresses many sub-areas, including project management, life cycle management, facility management and property investment.
It contains a comprehensive appendix on instruments and aids.
Target audience: architects and planners in training and practice, building owners, property investors
