Sound sapwood up to about 1/5 of the board width allowed; knot diameter for tight knots up to about 1/5 of the plank width allowed – measured on the narrow side; width of dry cracks in knots up to 8% of the knot diameter allowed; width of surface cracks up to 2% of the board width allowed; open resin pockets, knot holes, and larger drying cracks are standardly filled (standard filler color is brown). Loose knots are drilled out and replaced with a knot plug; slanting cracks (peeling) are not permitted; ring separations are not permitted.
Boards packed sealed in shrink film on pallet or loose in transport boxes wrapped in foil.

Fakten:
Noble fir is the highest-quality of all fir species and impresses with an elegant, whitish colouring with no heartwood discolouration or resin canals. A moderate proportion of knots and an attractive grain underline the aesthetic appearance of the Nobilis solid wood floorboards. Their high quality stems above all from their resilience, which makes them a recommended choice for installation in both bedrooms and living areas.
Brushing the surface makes the floor appear slightly darker. It also accentuates the hard growth rings. The white pigments settle deep in the soft growth rings.
