Floats for clay plaster are used on the respective finishing plaster to make the plaster surface even and firm. The clay plaster is floated off when leather-hard. Floating moves the components of the clay plaster and interlocks them with one another. The result is a firm, non-dusting surface. The larger the float, the flatter the finished wall. However, larger floats also require more practice. We offer our floats for clay plaster in four sizes and additionally as a detail float or darby.
