Safflower oil
Natural, particularly non-yellowing drying oil from safflower. Adhesion-improving additive to KREIDEZEIT Vega wall paint and Casein Marble Paint when overcoating emulsion paints, for non-yellowing interior wood treatments and as an additive to KREIDEZEIT chalk tempera. Coverage: as an additive max. 30 ml per 1 kg casein paint (powder); for wood treatment approx. 0.05–0.08 l/m² per coat – 500 ml ≈ 8 m².
KREIDEZEIT Safflower Oil is obtained from the seeds of the safflower plant. Among the drying oils it dries rather slowly, but it is particularly low-yellowing and is therefore used in low-yellowing varnishes and paints.
As an additive to KREIDEZEIT Vega Wall Paint and Casein Marble Powder Paint (30 ml per kg of paint powder), it improves adhesion when painting over old emulsion paints. Do not use on floors.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I add safflower oil to the wall paint?
It improves the adhesion of KREIDEZEIT Vega wall paint or casein marble powder paint on firmly adhering, cleaned emulsion paints (approx. 30 ml per kg of powder).
Why low-yellowing?
Safflower oil yellows less than linseed oil as it dries, making it suitable for light-coloured coatings and surfaces.
Can I use safflower oil on floors?
No, it is not intended for use on floors.
