Silicate primer

Silicate primer for the following Hessler plasters. Especially on plasterboard with subsequent HP 910 smoothing filler. Hessler silicate primer is a one-component silicate-acrylate system used as an opaque primer and bonding agent for the subsequent application of Hessler natural lime plasters.

Applying Hessler SILIKA silicate primer 

Silicate primer is applied to the base coat as an opaque primer and bonding agent. This primer forms the ideal substrate for Hessler lime finishing plasters/paints. Suitable substrates: lime plaster, (lime-)cement plaster, natural stone and sand-lime brick, new plasterboard, Fermacell, clay, concrete, old dispersion plasters and paints. Unsuitable substrates: substrates with bleeding constituents. 

Applying silicate primer

The substrate must be clean, dry and load-bearing. Fresh mineral base coats must have set sufficiently. Curing time 2-4 weeks depending on the weather. Remove sinter layers and loosely adhering old coatings. Contents 20 kg per bucket.
