The Thermoroom internal insulation boards from Gutex provide excellent thermal protection for your renovation. The Gutex boards offer many advantages:

Interior insulation is installed from the room side and is used above all when external insulation is not possible or not wanted, for example on listed façades, half-timbered houses or in large projects where energy-efficient refurbishment is carried out in several stages.
Gutex Thermoroom is made of wood fibre, is vapour-permeable and regulates moisture. This contributes to a balanced indoor climate and reduces the risk of mould, while the insulation also provides good protection against cold and summer heat.
In direct comparison with other wood fibre insulation boards, the Gutex board is significantly more homogeneous and closer to pure wood fibre because it contains less adhesive. The Gutex Thermoroom is a homogeneous board, with no glued layers as found with other manufacturers.
The optimum insulation thickness depends on the building, the wall thickness and the energy requirements. Typical thicknesses are between 60 and 100 mm Gutex Thermoroom. Our advisory service will help you choose the right one.
In timber-frame buildings the insulation should not go beyond a U-value of 0.45 W/m²K. This corresponds to 60 mm Gutex Thermoroom. Thicker insulation is possible in individual cases, but should then be agreed with a building physicist and energy consultant.
In solid masonry buildings greater insulation thicknesses are generally possible; 80 mm Gutex Thermoroom is well suited for cavity masonry.
Yes. Thermoroom is vapour-permeable and capillary-active. This means that moisture can be absorbed and released again. This makes the system particularly suitable for timber-framed and listed buildings.
The boards are bonded directly to the interior wall using the thin-bed method with a special clay or lime adhesive. This is followed by a plaster build-up of clay or lime. A wall heating system can be integrated into the plaster very effectively.
