Foam glass gravel in a Big Bag 1.5 m³

Glass foam gravel is a biologically recommended insulation material for perimeter areas, suitable for use as insulation under floor slabs or for insulated floor construction in all areas of the house that are in contact with the ground. Foam glass is heat-insulating, load-bearing, capillary-breaking and draining.

Insulating foundations and floor slabs is essential when constructing or renovating passive houses and low-energy houses. Glass foam gravel is the ecological alternative to perimeter insulation made from Styropore, Styrodur or other XPS and EPS insulation materials.

The processing of glass foam gravel is straightforward and does not release any pollutants that are harmful to humans or the environment. The bulk density of 120–170 kg/m³ ensures good insulation values and easy processing.

The production of foam glass is of consistently high quality. The raw material is sorted waste glass. Foam glass gravel is shipped in 1.5 m³ big bags or in large quantities in whole lorries as loose bulk.

The big bags are filled with the respective volume, and transport causes compaction. When the foam glass gravel is distributed, the material loosens up again.
