The main application is descaling – coffee machines, kettles, taps and sanitary surfaces. Citric acid also removes rust and cleans, and can be used to make children's modelling dough.

Suitable substrates
Appliances and surfaces affected by limescale and rust (not on acid-sensitive materials such as marble, natural stone or cracked enamel).
Application & Processing
Descaling a coffee machine: Dissolve 1–2 tbsp citric acid in 1 l cold water, pour it in, let approx. one cup run through, leave to stand for 15–30 minutes, let the rest run through, then rinse 2× with clean water.
Descaling a kettle: Dissolve 1–2 tbsp in 1 l of water, fill to above the limescale line, bring briefly to the boil, leave to stand for 30 minutes, then rinse out.
Taps/sanitary fittings: Apply a more concentrated solution, leave to act, then rinse with clean water.

How much do I use?
