Conluto clay undercoat plaster

Processing Conluto undercoat plaster
Plaster underlay is always used where a lot of clay needs to be applied. Wall heating systems are usually plastered with a total of at least 3 cm of clay. An undercoat plaster is ideal here.
Crooked walls, as is common in old buildings, can be made almost straight again with undercoat plaster. It is helpful here that the base coat can be applied 3 cm thick in one work step.
Particularly with such thick layers of clay, care should be taken to ensure rapid drying so that no white mould can form.
The earth-moist clay base plaster is mixed directly with chopped straw. The storage time is therefore somewhat shorter. The plaster base should be used up within 2 years. The straw can easily start to compost and the clay can still be used.
