Clay bricks for walling and filling compartments
Heavy clay blocks of application class II are used for wall infills, ceiling supports, facing shells, dry
stacked walls and non-load-bearing interior walls. Such solid and heavy components are very good at storing heat and absorbing sound.
In combination with wall heating and clay plaster, this is a major step towards a good indoor climate.
The heavy clay masonry mortar is suitable for laying clay bricks. The surface of the bricks is sufficiently rough and serves directly as a substrate for the first layer of plaster with a clay base coat.
The formats are standardised according to DIN.
NF means normal format, DF means thin format.
The moisture absorption of a wall made of clay bricks is ideal for all living areas. Studies have shown that fired bricks absorb hardly any moisture compared to unfired bricks. Clay bricks absorb around 20 times as much moisture after 2 days and around 10 times as much moisture after 14 days compared to fired vertically perforated bricks, and they even absorb around 35 times as much moisture compared to fired facing bricks.
