Especially with wood types such as ash, oak, or larch, brushing brings out the grain pattern particularly well. The soft areas are brushed out, leaving the hard growth rings raised.

Strongly rustic grading “as grown” (=wild oak), i.e. larger drying cracks and knot holes are permitted and not filled. Wormholes, bark inclusions, and open knots may occur. Long and wide cracks, as well as a higher sapwood proportion, are possible. The product cannot be factory-filled.
